Blur as the Patch draws it, at default values: inlets on the left, outlets on the right.

Blur applies a Gaussian blur with a bounded radius at the source resolution.

What it does#

The radius is in pixels at the source size, from 0 to 64; 0 passes the picture through. It processes every stream of the input at that stream's size and keeps the stream count.

When to use it#

Use it to soften a background, hide detail or smooth a key edge.

Radius (radius)#

Blur radius in pixels, from 0 to 64.

Tips#

  • Radius is bounded so the cost stays predictable.
  • Video needs the browser's WebGPU video engine. The Player and exports do not run video yet and report it unavailable. To see a video output, bind a live Screen in the Frame to it.

Each help patch is an ordinary Toy that teaches one idea. The diagram shows the Patch; the preview shows its Frame. Open it in TuneToys to play and edit it.
