Build a browser delay effect

Learn how a low-pass filter, delay time, feedback and mix shape a stereo echo in Tune.Toys.

Template: Warm Echo. You will learn: filter tone, delay time, feedback and mix.

  1. Open Warm Echo and choose Preview to hear it with the included demo input.
  2. Lower Tone to soften the sound before it enters the delay. Compare a bright cutoff with a darker one.
  3. Change Time to hear shorter and longer repeats. Raise Feedback gradually to retain more repeats.
  4. Adjust Mix to blend the effect with the original audio.
  5. Choose Create from template, then Create to open an independent Toy. Patch shows the signal path; Frame shows the playable controls.
  6. Save your work. Publish when you want a shorter playable link with a preview image.

For the nodes involved, see Delay and Low-pass filter.

The template

Shape a stereo sound with a low-pass filter, then send it through a delay. Warm Echo is a practical introduction to connecting audio nodes and designing a playable control panel.
