Select lanes extracts a contiguous range of lanes from a control bundle. Use several to split a sensor's lanes apart.
What it does#
Selection is set in the node's configuration, not by a knob, in the same way as Select channels for audio: the first lane to keep (counting from 1) and the number of lanes to keep. The kept lanes become the output, in order, and a range that falls outside the incoming bundle is rejected. The node has no parameters.
When to use it#
Use it to pull one lane out of a multi-lane source, such as one band of Band energies or the gate of a MIDI-to-control bundle, or place several side by side to split a bundle into separate paths. To rejoin lanes use Combine lanes.
Ports#
| Port | Direction | Signal | Lanes |
|---|---|---|---|
control | Input | Control | Inferred from the cable |
control | Output | Control | Inferred from the cable |
Parameters#
This node has no numeric parameters.
Tips#
- To split a bundle completely, use one Select lanes node per lane.
- A destination that expects one lane needs a single-lane selection.

Help patches
Each help patch is an ordinary Toy that teaches one idea. The diagram shows the Patch; the preview shows its Frame. Open it in TuneToys to play and edit it.

- The constant has three lanes. Select lanes keeps lane 2 only.
