Pixelate
Mosaic cells and posterised levels for a chunky look.

- effect
Pixelate makes the picture chunky with mosaic cells and fewer colour levels.
What it does#
Cell sets how big the mosaic squares are and Levels how many shades each colour keeps. It processes every stream of the input at that stream's size and keeps the stream count.
When to use it#
Use it for retro looks, to anonymise a picture, or at the end of a photobooth chain.

cell | Cell size | 1 to 128 | 12 | px | log | Size of each mosaic cell in source pixels. |
levels | Levels | 2 to 256 | 256 | log | Colour levels per channel; 256 leaves colour untouched. |

Tips#
- Combine a small Levels with a small Cell for a posterised look.
- Video needs the browser's WebGPU video engine. The Player and exports do not run video yet and report it unavailable. To see a video output, bind a live Screen in the Frame to it.
