# Select streams

> Extract a contiguous range of streams from a video bundle.

Source: https://docs.tune.toys/nodes/video.select/

Select streams extracts a contiguous range of streams from a video bundle.

## What it does

It has no parameters. It takes a bundle of 1 to 8 streams on `video` and outputs the chosen range. The range is set the same way as on the audio [Select channels](https://docs.tune.toys/nodes/std.select/): the node's channel settings name the first stream and how many streams to keep, and the range must fit inside the incoming bundle.

## When to use it

Use it to split one stream out of a bundle made with [Combine streams](https://docs.tune.toys/nodes/video.combine/).

## Ports

<!-- ports:start -->

| Port    | Direction | Signal | Lanes                   |
| ------- | --------- | ------ | ----------------------- |
| `video` | Input     | Video  | Inferred from the cable |
| `video` | Output    | Video  | Inferred from the cable |

<!-- ports:end -->

## Parameters

<!-- parameters:start -->

This node has no numeric parameters.

<!-- parameters:end -->

This node has no parameters.

## Tips

- Streams count from 1.
- Video needs the browser's WebGPU video engine. The Player and exports do not run video yet and report it unavailable. To see a video output, bind a live Screen in the Frame to it.
