# Image

> A declared image asset as a still video stream, for logos, backgrounds and keys.

Source: https://docs.tune.toys/nodes/video.image/

Image turns a declared image asset into a still video stream for logos, backgrounds and keys.

## What it does

Set `data.asset` to the id of an image asset declared in the Toy. The stream shows that image at its own size and never changes. It has no parameters.

## When to use it

Use it as the base of a [Composite](https://docs.tune.toys/nodes/video.composite/), as the backdrop behind a keyed camera, or as a logo layer.

## Ports

<!-- ports:start -->

| Port    | Direction | Signal | Lanes |
| ------- | --------- | ------ | ----- |
| `video` | Output    | Video  | 1     |

<!-- ports:end -->

## Parameters

<!-- parameters:start -->

This node has no numeric parameters.

<!-- parameters:end -->

<!-- data:start -->

- `asset`: text.

<!-- data:end -->

This node has no parameters.

## Tips

- An asset id that is not declared in the Toy is rejected when it loads.
- Video needs the browser's WebGPU video engine. The Player and exports do not run video yet and report it unavailable. To see a video output, bind a live Screen in the Frame to it.
