# Combine lanes

> Concatenate two control bundles, preserving every lane without mixing.

Source: https://docs.tune.toys/nodes/ctl.combine/

Combine lanes concatenates two control bundles into one, preserving every lane without mixing.

## What it does

Input A's lanes come first, followed by input B's lanes, so a two-lane A and a three-lane B give five lanes. Nothing is added or averaged. The node has no parameters. It is the control-domain counterpart of [Combine channels](https://docs.tune.toys/nodes/std.combine/).

## When to use it

Use it to gather several single-lane sources into one bundle that travels on one cable, or to join groups of lanes. To add or multiply two signals lane by lane use [Math](https://docs.tune.toys/nodes/std.math/).

## Ports

<!-- ports:start -->

| Port      | Direction | Signal  | Lanes                   |
| --------- | --------- | ------- | ----------------------- |
| `a`       | Input     | Control | Inferred from the cable |
| `b`       | Input     | Control | Inferred from the cable |
| `control` | Output    | Control | Inferred from the cable |

<!-- ports:end -->

## Parameters

<!-- parameters:start -->

This node has no numeric parameters.

<!-- parameters:end -->

## Tips

- Chain two to join three or more bundles.
- The output lane count is the sum of the two inputs.
